【摘要】:Inordertocalculatevolatileorganiccontent(VOC)inwaterbornepaints,itisnecessarytoknowthewatercontent.Thisgaschromatographictestmethodprovidesarelativelysimpleanddirectwaytodeterminewatercontent.1.1Thistestmethodisforthedeterminationofthetotalwatercontentofwaterbornepaints.Ithasbeenevaluatedforlatexsystems(styrene-butadiene,poly(vinylacetate)-acrylic,acrylic),epoxyacrylicresinsystemsandacrylicsystems.Theestablishedworkingrangeofthistestmethodisfrom15to90%.Thereisnoreasontobelievethatitwillnotworkoutsideofthisrange.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
